Day 18 of 19 · Part 3: Operating at scale
Reporting that leaders love
Raw Graph output is powerful, but leaders don't want JSON. They want answers about risk and trajectory.
Raw Graph output is powerful, but leaders don’t want JSON. They want answers.
The unlock is turning Graph data into exec-ready visuals:
- Compliance coverage: what’s protected vs. exposed
- Drift: where standards are slipping over time
- Install SLAs: are apps landing when they should?
The pattern I use
- Reuse the Graph export APIs instead of re-querying live data. The
exportJobsAPI specifically is far faster than paging through resource results with skip tokens (Day 11). - Normalize once, then store snapshots.
- Visualize trends, not transactions.
Same data. Very different conversation.
When reporting shifts from “here’s the data” to “here’s the risk and trajectory,” leaders lean in, and decisions get faster.
