Day 16 of 19 · Part 3: Operating at scale

Teams notifications from automation

Automation isn't complete until humans know when to step in. Push the signal to where admins already work.

Automation isn’t complete until humans know when they need to step in.

One powerful (and underused) pattern: Graph action → webhook → Teams card.

What to surface

Use it for lifecycle events like:

  • Policy updates
  • Failed app installs
  • Risky or partial rollouts

Instead of polling dashboards, push the signal directly to where admins already work.

Key principles

  • Notify on events, not noise.
  • Include just enough context to decide.
  • Offer a clear next action: acknowledge, review, or roll back.

Teams becomes the decision surface. Automation does the rest.

While you’re in the Intune admin center, take a look at Admin tasks. How would you like to be notified when new tasks show up?
